I'm not sure if this'll help, but the Nintendo DS has some type of cheat card thing called "Action Replay." If you're able to buy it and some how analyze it, that may help. Both the DS and the Vita are based on chip-like games (since they're so small) so they may have some similarities.

I would wait until we can unencrypt the save data as it is easier to exploit such things also it would be easier to look on the psp as you can unencrypt psp save data.. anyways i mite not be fully correct on this so some1 can correct me if im wrong
