Why I Believe The PS3 Is Shit

Around last September I was starting to open my mind and stop being an Xbox fanboy, so about a month later I decided to buy a PS3. I bought pretty much all of their exclusives and I have not been able to enjoy them at all since I bought them. Well that's not completely true, I did enjoy Little Big Planet 2 and if Killzone 3 still had people playing online I would give it another try. I especially hate the store update times. Not only does the Xbox Marketplace update faster but it updates nine to twelve hours faster. I'm sorry but really? When I have been awaiting DLC for a game a few weeks ahead of time I at least expect it to come out by noon. Moving on, let's rant about the interface! At first when I started to use it I thought it looked nice and sleek. That's until I had to figure out where everything was. They can't simplify it at all? When I finally figured it out it was still a little annoying that I have to sift through so much just to press X on one option. Then there was installing a game. Wow, I never thought such a small task would take so long.

Average install time for me:

Downloading the game: 5 - 10 minutes
Updates: 5 - 15 minutes
Finishing The Download: 1 - 2 minutes

That's a bit much don't you think? It wouldn't be so back if you had the option to not download it. I mean sure, I download all of my games but it takes maybe two or three minutes and those same updates on Xbox takes ten second or so. Hell, whenever I get an update on PS3 I switch over to Xbox until the downloads done, by then I just end up staying on Xbox and saying **** PS3.

Whenever I go to play online I either I end up lagging out or it takes forever to find a match, let alone after I find one I get four barred and everyone else is two or three which end up making me lag. Don't just say,"Oh it's your connection." I have Fios so jokes on you.

Then we have the shitty graphics card. Every multiconsole game either has frame drops, screen tears, and sometimes where there's no shadows in a scene. Every now or then there's a game like Tombraider or Battlefield 3 which has all three. Without HDMI it can't even produce all of the textures at full. For your average person this wouldn't be a problem but I, at first, wanted to record on the system. I feel like Sony said,"Sorry if you want to see a game at it's full potential you have to use HDMI." To be honest I would normally care but to use component cables you have to pay an shell out an extra twenty bucks, do they think this is the Wii? Your games output in 720p to 1080p. Are they really that stupid? To me, it seems so.

The final thing I have to complain about is the controller, it's smaller than a midgets dick, that's small. Then only thing can really say I like about it is how the thumbsticks feel. They feel well made, they're put in a stupid spot, but let alone, well made. The triggers are just horse shit which is probably why you shoot with the bumpers. I shouldn't complain though, I play on getting this device that allows me to use a keyboard and mouse, so yeah...
