Hi, I updated my iPod touch 4G to the 5.1 firmware and want to jailbreak i seen a tut on YouTube which requires the redsn0w9.105bc i think it is, It told me to run it as a administrator which i did and i set it into DFU mode etc it was extracting until it stopped and told me that my iPod is a unrequired build and then a long error code also it told me about selecting my ISPW but i don't know what to do to get it to work, also i have recently jailbroken about 30 iPod/iPhones so i know the basic's etc. But this just doesn't seem to work and id love another jailbreakers opinion on my problem:-)

redsn0w9.105bc is an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 not 5.1

You need to use redsn0w9.10b6 which is a tethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1

There is no untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1 yet

When do you think the untethered jailbreak will come out? Cause I need to jailbreak on 5.1


Pod2g (Maker of untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1) is working on the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1 now so I would take a guess of waiting a month or two

Ah man, im not doing tethered my last jailbreak was tethered on the iOS 5.0.0 i think it was? But it pissed me off greatly like id be out and i'd be playing something or on Facebook and i couldn't go on when it was like 10% battery left. Ah, When do you think iOS 5.1 untethered will come out?
