It happens to me when I sit totally still. It may be caused be having headphones on and listening to something kind of loud and then taking them off into complete silence. Your ears need to adjust back...

That is my theory.

RxShadyy wrote Does anyone have any ideas of what that may be . I'm sitting in my room and it's completely silent throughout my house but I hear a ringing noise in my ears . Ive always noticed it but never really thought about it . What do you guys think it is?

USEFUL: its called tinulatious(spelled wrongly) it normaly only happens to adult males at the age of 50. i used to have this in my right ear but then i took 3 pills a day for 2 months and it went away. btw the medication is expensive. around 1200$/month

Sounds like water in the old lug-hole to me I am no expert, but I have had a similar experience (sound wise) when I have been swimming and sometimes even after a bath or shower.

Could also be soft wax.

It happens when you are in a slightly loud place and then go to a very silent place... I don't know why it happens though.
