"Why is the word dictionary in the dictionary?"
The word dictionary is in the Dictionary because dictionary is a real word; plus some people might need the definition for dictionary.

What is the colour of a mirror?
Mirrors don't emit light, so they are colorless.
Mirrors absorb light, so they are black.
Mirrors reflect whatever light is shined on them, so they are white.
