My first try was a complete failure, I didn't understand the base of smudging and didn't put as much effort in as I should have. I will include my first try also. I know, it's a bit dark, but I worked a lot harder on this attempt. Hope you like it. Please leave constructive criticism and feedback.

Is it me? or is this slightly over-worked?

Nice though, but too much smudge.

To be honest, I was also thinking that as I was just looking over it. I just didn't want the background to be bland, I wanted it to really attract the attention and be exciting. Thank you for the feedback. <3

Blend in your render more to make it flow with your smudging.
Try this, Marquee Tool. Hold Ctrl and click on the render in your layers tab(the box left of your renders name). You should get your render to have (Marching Ants) outlined with dotted lines. Now from here you can do two things. First you can feather, Right click inside dotted lines and click feather set to 5-10 and click okay. Now right click again and select Inverse, then hit delete. Second you can Select>Modify?Contract then set to 2-3. Then right click inside dotted lines again and select inverse and delete.

Hope that helps and makes sense.

It does make sense, I will definitely try it out on my next attempt. Thank you +rep for such a great tip.
