The Mass Effect 3 "credit glitch" has recently become really popular, and I thought I would make a topic talking about the glitch itself. This topic will contain general info about the glitch itself and any possible consequences.
Here is a quote from Scylla Costa (A Bioware Employee) which was posted on the Bioware forums in regards to Mass Effect 3 Cheating:
Scylla Costa wrote BioWare is aware of the cheating that is occurring in multiplayer. We believe our multiplayer mode is a valuable addition for our fans, and we hope you are having just as much fun as we are while playing co-op with
your friends.
For our fans, we acknowledge that some people are cheating. We are actively monitoring server logs since the Demo of Mass Effect 3 and when we find obvious signs of cheating, we are acting against those individuals. Our focus is to remove the type of cheating that is detrimental to the honest fans.
To some of you, it may appear that we are not doing anything against the cheaters. This is not true. However, we are being careful to ensure that the individuals flagged as cheaters are clearly and repeatedly cheating. We do not want to act against honest people.
If you feel your experience has been affected by playing with a cheater, please send us a message at me3mpcheaters @ bioware.com. Please also add the Origin ID/Gamertag/PSN ID of the supposed cheater
along with the time of your match(es) with him and why you think this user has been cheating.
We appreciate you help and patience with this matter.
It appears that Bioware will start cracking down on any attempts to hack the game or cheat in any fashion. At the current time, it is unclear what type of discipline Bioware will be implementing on specific cheaters who are caught.

PLEASE NOTE: Before doing this glitch you will have to turn off the setting which sends your Game Statistics to EA. This will help you avoid being caught and banned or reset (it is unclear how Bioware/EA will respond). You can turn off the Automatic Reporting of Game Statistics to EA by going to the Main Menu. From the main menu, navigate to the "Extras" menu, once there go into the menu entitled "Options." Once in options scroll down to "Online" and switch the toggle for "Upload Gameplay Feedback" from [On] to [Off].

In order to do this glitch, you will have to get to Wave 10 on any map with any difficult/enemy.
The way the game is structured, Wave 10 will ALWAYS be an objective. Once you have gotten to Wave 10, you will have to finish the objective and then have your whole team die before killing the remaining enemies.
For getting this far, your whole team will get the normal rewards based on the location and difficulty. Once the game has ended, and you are back at the lobby, the host will need to change the game difficulty to Gold and also change the enemies whichever group you want to fight. Personally, I prefer the Geth seeing as they are the easiest to kill.
Once you have changed the game settings, start the game; before starting the game make sure that you know who the host is. At the start of the game, have the host quit immediatly (if you are a bit slow, the glitch works until "Wave 1" pops up on the screen).
The game will then migrate hosts to someone else on the team with the next-best connection. This will cause the "round to restart" and the game will now go back to Wave 10.
Begin working on completing the objective, but do not complete the objective until the host has successfully joined back. Once the host joins back, you can finish the objective and get your credits. Once you have completed the objective have your whole team die (just like how you all died at the begining). Generally you will receive anywhere from 38-45 (thousand) credits per round depending on how long it took for you to finish the objective.
The game will end, and you will all be sent back to the lobby, and someone else will be host. From here, ready up again and repeat the process. (Start game, host quits, complete objective, die, go to game lobby, and repeat)
The only catch to this process is that the objective you get the first time will repeat itself over and over. So, if you get the hacking objective when playing through the first time (generally on Bronze), I would recommend ending the game and re-trying because it will take you ~Three minutes to hack the objective each time. The other objectives are much simpler, and have little-to-no catches.
It might seem a little complicated at first, but once you've got the hang of the glitch, you can get about 45000 credits every 3-5 minutes.
There IS in fact a post about this specific glitch on the Bioware Forums, but at the current time I am unable to locate it. We can assume that Bioware/EA are working on a fix for this glitch, and that they WILL take disciplinary actions against those who do not work to protect themselves from being caught. I have already stated above how you may protect yourself from getting caught (or atleast lower your chances of getting caught), but since most of you probably only skimmed this topic I will post this again. Please note if you do not wish to get banned it is VITAL that you do this.

I have decided AGAINST posting a video of this glitch.

I was reading in the Bioware forums today also to see what, if any, mention of this there was. There was a lot of talk about modded weapons and one hit kills on Brutes and Banshees. I also saw a thread earlier where someone reported getting dumped into a random lobby actively participating in the credit glitch and he didn't know what was up so he quit out after the first time.

I scrolled through the majority of the thread and there was no reply from a moderator at all. Doesn't mean much, but I'm sure Bioware isn't too happy at the possible revenue they are losing from people gaining credits instead of possibly purchasing packs using MSP.
The only advice I may add is that if you do participate, space out your purchases so that you aren't buying five Spectre packs all at once, then twenty minutes later buying three more.

Good advice, also don't forget to turn off the FeedBack uploader

Did this last night. Easily got 700k credits or so in a very short amount of time. I probably won't be doing it again since I got what I wanted (a certain N7) and I don't want to overdue it in case Bioware starts checking logs to ban/reset people.
Just fyi they do have ways to check the logs and turning off the "Upload Gameplay Feedback" won't save you when they do.

Yeah, I'm sure that they can, but I just wanted to say it wouldn't hurt to turn it off anyways, just a way to evade ban.
