They are nerfing it in the new update. It has 5 less bullets in the mag and decreased damage and more recoil.

They nerf it, and around 5 other weapons in the new update, don't be TOO concerned, then again, the worst is not over, they don't listen to the players anymore, they meanly mock us when we ask for a change...

I agree, I hate seeing that Russian Mask and his cheap FAMAS bullshit, or the Black guy who drops a medkit and jumps around firing the FAMAS in the death cam.
Either way, I'm sick of seeing myself die from Assault players and the outcome being- THE FAMAS.
Also notice how almost everyone with the FAMAS has the Foregrip/Suppressor Combo? Also, the F2000 is very much like the FAMAS, just even more bullshit accurate because of the slightly less firerate.
Another thing they should take out is the FRAG ROUNDS.
Just all together, take them out.
People seem to want them, but why dafuq would they be allowed?! It eliminates the use for Semi-Auto Snipers, Slugs, and hand grenades. It's a 1-3 shot kill, and you dont even have to hit the person!

Yeah, in my opinion if they stop listening to their players than they are going to ruin the game, and its going to end up like CoD in a way.

Sorry but I gotta say people complain about guns being too overpowered too much, but in this case I agree that this one actually is overpowered. So many times I'll get the drop on someone, shoot them and then they shot me shortly after and kill me faster. But I dont think they should have nerfed the M98B, some guy set a new world record with a .338 Lapua Magnum(same calibre as a M98B) for the longest kill at 2.47km and I get hit markers from across the street. I dont feel that I should have to get a head shot every time I want a 1 shot kill.

Its not that bad, if your getting killed by it then the person using it is good, it has a huge recoil and i sometimes use it and i wont do aswell if im using something like a G36C or M40A5, its not THAT overpowered, in a close quarters situation it may beat you, but then if your using a shotgun, you will probably beat it, its an assault rifle thats better suited to short to mediumish range, other rifles like the M146(not sure if thats it) are great at semi-auto long range. My favourite weapons, according to "battlelog" are:
G53
M416
M249
A91
L96
G36C
M4A1
MP7 M40A5

I honestly think you are spending too much time using the same kit, which suffers at close range perhaps and because the famas is strong there, you get killed by it alot.

But TBH i spend alot of time in Jets, doing aerobatics lol

Personally I do not find the FAMAS overpowered at all.

I think that they don't need to nerf the M98B but they are adding a one hit kill on the chest shots from a close distance. The only problem is that it doesn't specify what the close distance is.
