The controller does turn on now when I plug it in using the charging cable and just found out that my sync button does not work

Prolly wired it wrong. Must be robos jitters from acid mods.

Also check for any bridges between your solders on the chip or board.

It is robos jitter from acid mods and i took the chip from a silver changing dpad controller and put it in a new black controller. The boards look identical to me.
