The reason is quite obvious, the community the franchise has evolved into is just disgusting. When CoD4 or WaW was in it's prime, the franchise still had a good reputation, but now, with all these modders, and ignorant players, the CoD series is less valuable. In other words : he is tired of keeping the games alive, and fixing bugs because kids just don't have enough respect to play a game justly.
