But usually I get better ping but besides that I get past the 90 ping mark and usually around the 125 ping area on Xbox live.

reset your factory defaults on your console. Also an upgrade for your internet may be necessary. if you can do not play wireless and connect directly to your moutoum

The higher the ping the worse it is, so try to not use a lot of things on the internet at once.
The lower ping you have the better the connection you will have.

Is there anything else connected to the router?
Laptops, Phones, etc.

Try upgrading your firmware of the router.

Try to put protection on it and try to keep it at a low ping
Low ping= less time it takes to go from the router to the wireless or wired device and high ping is the oppisite and that is bad ping

sign out of xbox live,
Turn your router off for 5 min, turn back on, than (reset) the router.
after it has turned back on sing back into xbox live and serech for a game, everytime i have done this^ i get host over any country, cod4, mw2 , mw3.

hope this works for everyone bro
