I have mods installed so this is why i have a huge spike in RAM usage, maybe if you listened when i said "depending on the mods you have installed" Durr

whoops im sure it used to be there, if your running 64bit windows then 4gb ram and a 3ghz processor should be fine

Lol, obviously you don't know what your takling about... my computer has 4GB of RAM, clocked at 2.0 GHz running Dual Core Pentium Processors, and it still don't lag... minecraft runs off of ram as long as you have at least 60%-70% free of your ram, you won't lag at all. UNLESS you have a really bad graphics card. I have INTEL HD Graphics. Hope this help's original poster!
