Ok, so every time i start an app on my 4th generation iPod it starts to open for a second then crashes and brings me back to the homescreen.
any help would be appreciated, a solution would be rewarded.

Double tap your home button and close all the apps.
The apps that are displayed, are apps running in the background, which causes apps to crash.

Try re-installing and wiping cache if you're jailbroken.

As stupid as it may sound, have you tried turning it off and on?
Maybe try syncing it?

Try plugging it into the pc and backing it up, then reset and restore. Then it might work.
