So last night my xbox tray was jamming when trying to open it so as i have had my xbox for 4 years now it had been happening a lot recently then it wouldn't open so i opened it manual with scisscors by putting them in just under the tray to open it then i realise there was a black plastic bit stuck on the side underneath where the disc is (on the bottom of the tray ) so i closed it and it worked fine i thought i fixed it but earlier i went to take out my call of duty disc it opened fine then i went to put my fifa disc in and it would not close at all i tried turning the xbox off still wouldnt close then i tried to force it in but it kept jamming it was like i was pushing it into a wall just no movement but i eventually forced it in (after about 10 mins of trying ) then i realised i had the disc in the tray still so i had the exact same problem opening the tray as i did closing it but i yanked it a bit to hard and i pulled the whole tray out and the cog thats inside the DVD drive has fell off and the tray isn't in the xbox so i thought well thats my xbox f***ed but i thought if i bought a DVD drive of ebay for it could i just replace the drive and would it work and would it have to be a certain type of DVD drive and if there is any way of fixing or suggestions please post back PLEASE GUYS HELP

I have a similar problem were i can never open my tray without hitting the top of my xbox pretty hard. I learned to live with because its not that bad for me.

i dont think you need a specific tray but it requires taking you r xbox apart and you need the right tools and everything so just try to fix it.
