Mmmmmmm. Can't wait to see how they stack up! AKG is definitely capable of making a celeb headphone right!

They don't look very promising, sadly. They look like the much-ignored K840, which probably doesn't sound like an AKG (the DJ series doesn't count). It's a weird combination though. I'd prefer that AKG partner with something like a vocalist because that's what their headphones do best.

Thanks! And dang, ponies really are taking over.

You deserve rep for saying that.

I decided the other day to see what all this pony mumbo jumbo is all about, so I downloaded the first season. I'm not going to hate on something if I don't know anything about it. After watching a few, I'm not sure what to think. Come on guys, seriously?

Is that a positive or negitave, "Come on guys, seriously?"

I'm just not sure what's motivating all these bronies. Why do they like it so much? Why watch MLP when you could be watching other things? Like Top Gear, for instance. Jeremy Clarkson is far more entertaining than Fluttershy.

Whatever you do, do not visit /mlp/ on 4chan or go read cupcakes (gore). That's not for newcomers...

I've seen some... Ummmm... Interesting stuff... that involves ponies, like /mlp/, certain subreddits, etc., but it's nothing surprising. Nothing I didn't expect from the internet. Of course there would be rule 34 and tons of pony gore, which are definitely not my cup of tea.

The AKG K518 should do it for you. It's on-ear, closed, and sounds good for the price. The red model is $45 right now.

I think the best headphone for you is the Audio Technica Pro 700 Mk. II, even though it's quite a bit cheaper at around $170. They're better than the Beats Pro, have INCREDIBLE bass, a very versatile and portable design, great build quality, and good isolation. Read this:

I think it's money well-saved.

The aforementioned PRO700MKII would work great for your music.

V-Moda Crossfade LP or maybe the PRO700MKII if they're in your budget.

Spotify streams at 160kbps (In Ogg Vorbis of all codecs), which isn't great, but not miserable.

You could probably get a Superlux HD681 in your price range.
