I'm guessing you're recording in MPEG-2 with datarate high?

This happened to me. To fix it, download a program called "Win DVR3". Then use that to record.

try lowering the quality in the format settings. I had this problem with my HD PVR today and i turned the quality down a bit and mine is running perfectly now.
