Hey guys i need some answers to this on my MW3 xbox ive had it since christmas and now the motion sensor for the power doesnt work but the eject motion sensor works perfectly fine any ideas on how to fix without voiding the warranty and sending it in? post your answers please!

its more then likely broke have you pressed on it hard or anything or it could just be a defective power button and the only fix is probably replacing it which would void your warranty or sending it in.

well its motion sensor as i said but my xbox was pretty warm so maybe that was the reason idk but i really dont want to send it in because it still turns on when i use the controller do you think it will work after cooling down or should i not take the chance?

is it hot right now? and im not really sure if heat would affect the powerbuttons sensor. could of just been a defective sensor they put on there.

No its not hot anymore and i just tried but it does come on with the help of me using the controller not just hovering over the power button.. and if i do send it in how long would it take to get it back?

it usually takes up to a couple weeks i would just continue to use your controller but the only problem with that is if for some reason your controller unsinc with the xbox you would have no way to turn it on.

its his powerbutton sensor that isnt work not his disk tray if that was the case he could just hit the eject button at the dashboard.

Its not the disk tray its the power button :facepalm:
