I hate to seem "hipster" posting here, but I hate seeing all of these mainstream rappers.
I'm going to name several groups, and artists everyone should honestly check out sometime:
Blackalicious, Cyne, Atmosphere, Living Legends, Eyedea and Abilities, Jedi Mind Tricks, Apathy, Mos Def, Black Thought,
Common, Zion I, Tech 9 (The actual one), Spittage, Nas, Mobb Deep, Gensu Dean, Eric B. and Rakim, Big Daddy Kane,
Kool G Rap, Cypress Hill, Dr. Dre (On The Chronic), Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Slum Village, Special Ed, Wu-Tang Clan,
Mantronix, Common, A Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy, and several other artists who never get any recognition.
Story about a girl (growing up in our generation) that doesn't like the music that artists like
Soulja Boy and all these other "wack" rappers are releasing so he shows her the roots of Hip Hop.
(Starts around 2:40)
Honestly I just hate people accrediting rappers like "Mac Miller" and "Tyler The Creator" for being the best
out there right now, when lyrically they recycle their verses. Mac Miller? All about weed, drugs, snapbacks and
the amount of "swag" he's got when there are real artists out there who get no recognition and are 10x better.

I don't only listen to mainstream....but what your saying is true a lot main stream rappers use the same stuff over and over again but there are many that are actually very good...if Tupac and Big were still alive it would be a wrap but they aren't

TizzyTrips wrote Top 10: (In no order)
-Tech N9ne
-Hopsin
-Hodgy Beats, Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt (All part of OFWGKTA so I just counted them as one)
-Machine Gun Kelly (coming along really good)
- Chris Webby (If you haven't heard of him, You gotta listen! Most Dope as Mac Miller would say)
-Childish Gambino (One of the best flows going, great lyrics as well. Xbox GT is named after Gambino as well!)
-Yelawolf
-Immortal Technique (Sure he raps about the same things over and over, but it sounds good)
-Big K.R.I.T (Always makes good songs, good flow and sound to him)
-Kendrick Lamar (Nuff' said)
[align=right]Agree Big K.R.I.T has a nice flow and hes got some dope lyrics
