if its the first game you have played from the halo series, than it is extremely different and a lot of people apparently dont like change, i personally like it, but if i had to chose between halo 3 or reach, i wouldn't give it a second thought and would chose halo 3

why? because it is (to me) a 100x better than reach, i dont know, i love the battle rifle, the balance, the spawns, the maps, i simply love everything from halo 3, even the ranks lol

Change is good.. You don't want halo lilke cod where it stays the same every year.. And halo 3 was a great game but its just old now..

Reach took skill out of the halo series(yes it may take some) but compared to Halo 2 and 3, sigh. They took the whole competitiveness out of Reach with the whole ranking system and made it just like cod, as long as you play the shit out of the game you can get to the highest. I miss back in the old days were having a 50 in a playlist actually meant something. Man, i'm actually so good at that game. I love it, but it get's boring after a while on multiplayer.

i know exactly what you mean man i feel the same way...i mean yea i like that reach changed from H3 but it changed in all the wrong ways and those abilities are horrible i would be ok if it were decent abilities but armor lock is straight for homos....now if they let you chose from only sprint or evade i probably wouldnt care to much about them but jet pack and all that shit is stupid and now halo is nothing but assualt rifle rushers who run in packs of like 2-3 its just crazy and the maps and spawns omg horrible

The game has it's ups and downs. Yes the ranking system and abilities were bad, but there was an improvement in a lot of other areas. There was a completely new campaign and world to explore and great new maps. I also love the new Custom Game and Forge system put in Reach.

Yes, everything else was great, take out dmr,ablities,ranking system and it would be grand. I just hope halo 4 wont let me down but i have a feeling that it might.
