I have put windows 7 onto my laptop and now for some reason it wont let me connect to a wireless connection.

I don't know why but the bottom icon is coming up instead of the top one.

1.Click Start
2.Right-click "Computer" and select "Manage".
3.Expand "Services and Applications"
4.Click "Services".
5.Find the ##Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762## name in the list of services
6.Double-click this to open up a Window.
7.Under the General Tab next to Startup Type Select Disabled from the drop down.
Now test and see if you still have connectivity issues.

I've seen this happen to a lot of people lately, it's pretty unusual.

What brand is your laptop? Go to their website, look up your model number and download and install the network/wireless driver.

You need an Internet connection in order to do this, so do it on another PC if you have one.

When I looked for the ##Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762## I didn't find anything that looked at all like this.
