So what if it's big? That's an ignorant statement. We're already at 7 Billion people. We only have a limited amount of water, gas, and every other resource. Scientists predict by the time we reach 10 Billion people this Earth will run out of water. Then what? People won't be able to see family when the world's population is at a free for all trying to survive.

Well I don't agree that they should suffer, and on that you are right. But I do agree with him on the point and only the point that the population is getting to big. Think about how much resources it takes to sustain the population. It could lead to more suffering if the population gets too big (starvation, disease, etc.).
