Why do people feel the need to sign their username under their posts when their username is above their posts? This isn't mail. In fact it should be against the rules because it adds letters to their message and is basically the same thing as "20202002020202".

It's either to allow the person doing it to bypass the character limit, or to make them seem "professional" or "important," or they are just attention-seekers.
If I wanted to see who posted the post, I would look at the username. I don't need a damn reminder who posted it, because I quite honestly don't care.
There are signatures for a reason.
