Just a short rant showing why the quality of posts on TTG is disgraceful compared to any other forum.
1) A few users(I won't lie, this included me) saw the top #5 posters of the week an honorable achievement to reach, and so they started to post in quantity but not quality.
2) Users that posted topics, or replies that were longer than a paragraph saw their post instantly get lost behind all the spam.
3) Users don't see a reason to post useful posts as they just get lost behind the spam.
4) They start to spam.
5) Repeat steps 2-4.
On other forums people will post a reply that might be 6-7 paragraphs long, and they'll get attention from that, people will reply to that reply, or give feedback ect. But on TTG it seems pointless to post something that long as you know it'll get lost behind the spam, and thus they start to spam, and this leads to everyone spamming and a very small amount of actual useful posts.

Yeah, there are too many useless posts.
I have taken it easy, and am a 2 year member, with less than a thousand posts

Also, I think the Sig Try-hards, who post useless crap such as "I jagged my fridge" or something like that are useless, and extreme spamming

About a year and a half ago, quite a big goal for a lot of users(including me once again) was to try and get 'known' on the forums. One way was to be in those top 5 posters with a red username, and unfortunately I gave in and tried my absolute hardest to get in there spamming away with pointless topics.

This annoys me also, but not only the people which are the sig try-hards, but the people which use the topics as sigs, meaning more users see that people with stupid topics are in there sig and try to do the same to gain respect from the bigger members.

Couldnt agree more, although you probably wont see this post due to being lost in spam.
