I Know This Works Because I Have Done It My Self With My Old 20GB Hard Drive.
Requirements
Xbox 360 Slim 4GB
T7 And T8 Screw Driver
Old Hard Drive (Any Size)
Disassembling You're Old Hard Drive
First Of You Will Need To Remove The Case Off The Old Hard Drive
To Do This You Will Need To Remove The Four Screws From The Bottom Of The Hard Drive Case.
The Picture Below Shows The Casing Of My 20GB Hard Drive..
Once You Have The Case Off Pull Out The Silver "Thing" That Holds The Hard Drive As Seen In The Image Below.
Now You're Going To Pull Out The Silver "Thing" And On The Other Side It Will Have Four Screws On The Top.
You Will Need To Remove Them Screws Using T8 Screw Driver.
The Image Below Shows Where The Screws Would Be On Your Hard Drive.
Once You Have Removed The Silver Surrounding.
You Will Be Left With The Hard Drive With A Wired Plugin Attached.
Simply Remove The Plugin.
Inserting You're Old Hard Drive Into You're New Xbox Slim
On The Same End Of The Slim As The Fan.
There Will Be Something You Press/Slide Backwards To Remove The Case For The Hard Drive To Go In.
Images Below Show Where The Slide Button Is To Remove The Case.
Also Shows A Image After The Case Is Removed.
On A 4GB Xbox Slim, The Hard Drive Slot Will Be Empty.
Now Simply Look Down Into The Slot And Line The Old Hard Drive Up With The Part That It Plugs Into.
Then Press Down, Once You Feel Its In The Right Place, Gently Press Down Until You Hear A Click.
(DO NOT PRESS DOWN HARD!)
Below Is A Picture That This Worked.
Thanks For Reading.
I Would Like Some Feedback Since This Did Take Some Time Making.
Again, Thanks For Reading.
