How to Open a Xbox 360 Controller!

In this thread i am going to tell you how to open a xbox 360 controller without the special screwdriver instead using a flathead.


STEP 1: Supplies
You will need one thing a 2mm flathead screwdriver preferably magnetic so you dont lose the screws

STEP 2: Unscrewing
There are 7 screws on a xbox controller including a hidden one. They will all need undoing to take the controller apart. The hidden screw is located behind the barcode.

STEP 3: How to unscrew them
As you may see there is a pin in the middle of the screws. This is a problem. To get around this slot your 2mm screwdriver across the screw and behind the pin. As from here you can open it like a normal screw.

STEP 4: Finishing
Now you just pry your controller apart. If it doesnt come easily then just use your screwdriver to help pry it open. When you come back to putting it back together you can use normal screws the same size as the T8H screws to put them back in to avoid the hassle next time.
