open console, remove drive, open top of drive, manually eject the tray half way, locate black rubber band that opens/closes tray, remove band carefully, replace band with new or one from a working drive, put back everything together, test.
if you dont have another band then soak the existing band in warm to hot water and dry and refit.

I know, this sounds retarded, but pull it while pressing the button for 120 seconds. It completely loosens the mechanisms holding it in but you'll have to contact an xbox repairer to get it fixed and this also voids your warranty.

thats what i did and it worked, i have that current issue on my jtag but seeing as you dont really need a dvd drive i cant be bothered to fix it lol.

okay,well,it didnt work But f*** microsoft,i'll have bosslobbyz repair it,i think it'll only cost 30$ + shipping,conpared to 100$ + shipping

do what they guy at the top seed or maybe just buy another disk drive. or you can get something and flick the disk drive front in one corner and it should open hope helped

Bahaha i had an elite, Stuck a knife in it just to get mw3 out of it xD then brought the xbox back with warranty on it
