I thought I would make a post to help people who are new to You-Tube to pick the correct capture card to buy.

Starting off is the Easy Cap.
This is the cheapest capture card available, Its not the best but would do for Game-battles proof, small videos and if you were only on YouTube to show your friends something you did on a game. If you are going to start a serious YouTube channel to get partnership-ed or try to get in a bigger community do not get this.
Here is a video on how to set it up to your xbox/ps3. You will have to buy additional parts to use this with a console.

Here is a quality test.

Next up is the Roxio game capture.
I have never owned one of these, I have heard of a lot of problems with these and that they are not worth the money. It is hard to get good quality with these and I would not advise anyone to get one.
Here is how to set-one up. You do not need to buy any extras for this.

Next up is the Dazzle.
I own a dazzle, its a trustworthy capture card which with some tampering you can get quite good quality with. You could probably use this when you are starting off on youtube then save for a PVR as the quality is far superior. The only downside to the Dazzle is that you have to buy some extra cables+splitters which makes it more expensive.

Finally I am going to talk about the HDPVR.
There is two editions, the normal PVR and the Gaming edition.
If you are deadly serious about youtube and want to go far I would recommend getting a PVR
they are well worth the money and will prove themselves in the long run. You get software and all the cables necessary with the gaming edition but will have to purchase separately with the normal one.

I don't really know too much about this sort of area, but it looks like a really good topic with a lot of good information!

Nice.
