I do NOT want to take apart my Xbox or send it back or buy a new one.

But how do I fix this? It makes a grinding noise and the disc stops being read and stops spinning. Sometimes the tray doesn't even open

Same thing happened to me, I wanna help you but I don't want you to break your xbox :/


I order to fix this you will NEED to take ur xbox apart.

It worked for me! Go on youtube and learn how to take it apart and how to fix it. I suggest to have a partner to help.

Double click your eject button twice eachbtime it says " Open Tray" this works for me in about 10 tries

I had an old xbox and did that, and i broke the entire shell of the xbox off.

Right as you hit the close tray button. Take your controller and lightly tap the top xbox where the disc tray is and keep hitting it until game plays.
