I think that there is several roots Epic could expand in terms of story ie Zeta squad for a full game I'm not sure maybe dlc???
Also personally I felt that Myrrah being stabbed was an anti-climax ending for me, the Queen of the locust should have fought the player like RAAM in gow1 but a lot bigger in terms of gunfight maybe some chainsaw duels like with Skorge in gow2. P.S. I don't think Myrrah died as it didn't show her dying, all she did was fall after Marcus stabbed her with Dom's knife?? Anyone else agree??

Not sure if its said but speculations have occurred that EPIC might be making a prequel to Gears of War. Showing some background knowledge of the Alpha, Delta, Zeta Squad.
More importantly, the main enemies would not be locust, it would be other COG, ala The Pendulum Wars. With the possibility the return of the Retro Lancer, and the riddance of the normal lancer.
EPIC already made that hint in bringing back retros.
SO to answer your question, NO, they will no longer make a Gears of War 3, but who said its the end of the Gears of war Series?
