Well i've hooked my HP Laptop upto my tv, its 19 inch hd ready, via a vGA cablr and i've set it so the display only appears on my tv so i can have a better resolution than my 1366x768 laptop resolution. On my tv the resolution is 1440x900 which is the recommended one, but it cuts a slight bit of the top bottom and sides of the screen. Heres a screen shot. It might not be very clear. I've tried changing the resolution and i still get it, any help? i will rep.

Go to power options on your laptop > then click "Choose what closing the lid does" change it to "Nothing" then it will display the right size PM me for more detail!
