The media tends to give well everything a bad name really, but muslims tend to be at the receiving end of it a lot of the time, the thing is they only ever show the bad sides of islam and the minority that do the bad things and give them a bad name. The religion islam is very peaceful and most of the things these people are doing and preaching are wrong and extremist views, but yet the whole of the muslims community seems to suffer due to this... there is just as many if not more christians that either act in extremist ways or are just well, weird.

I think that the media makes islam out to be bad is because its seen as a foreign religion, and for a long time, in western society has not been a very common religion for people to follow. So i think the media make islam look bad because the religion is growing so fast, and people dont really know all that much about it, so its scaring people and people dont know what to think about it... so all this bad publicity is coming out about islam because people are not yet ready to accept it yet...

my personal opinion. if people actually did their research about islam they would find out its not a bad or evil religion at all, but very peaceful.. just a small minority make it look bad with their extremist views, but thats all that the media shows of it.
