wat is the best thing to use and how much

i have heard of capture cards and somthing called pvp or somthing just wanted some advice

Hauppauge HD PVR. Best thing you can buy. Unless it's more expensive, it's probably not as good.

DO NOT go with AverMedia.

Get a HD-PVR Gaming Edition, it runs around 200 @ gamestop.

Well I have a Dazzle Platinum but it's not all that great for recording game footage.

I would recommend going with a HD PVR. You can find the product list here-

Capture cards are, in my opinion, the best! I have never heard of anything called a "PVP", so I'm guessing you meant "PVR" which is the same thing as a capture card! I would recommend the Hauppauge HD PVR, those, I've heard, are the best!

Hauppauge charges more on their website than other providers. Amazon is the best way to buy it.
