I'd get the AKG K518 or the Fischer Audio Eterna if you want an IEM. They're both well under your budget.
Cheers pal, any other suggestions?
Would these be any good?http://www.amazon.co.uk/SoundMAGIC-E10-Earphones-Black-Red/dp/B005HP3PNM/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1335026626&sr=1-1
Yeah, those would be OK, but they're way under your budget. The Fischer Eterna might be harder to find as well. You could also check out the Shure SE215, which seem to be going for 70 GBP. I think it would be worth it to spend that much more! The SE215 is bassy, comfortable, and well-built. They also isolate extremely well.

Cheers, having a look at all them now, I'm just wondering, does the AKG K518 come anywhere near beats?

They won't compete with the Studios, which are $300 (but sound like $100, same point), but will destroy the Solo and Solo HD as well as the in-ear models.

This is true, but I find it to be true for ALL on-ear headphones, not just these. Instead I'd go with the Shure SE215 if you're worried about comfort. Unfortunately there aren't many good on-ear headphones between $50 and $100 I'm aware of, especially bassy comfortable ones. I'd definitely consider the IEMs instead, although they're a bit more expensive.

That sucks. Headphones shouldn't break without a fight, but Beats just don't have that resilience. For $100, I'd get the Shure SE215. I think they're available for $90 as well. They're very well-built (you won't break them as easily), very comfortable, bassy, and they isolate very well.
If you can spend some more, like around $145, the JVC HA-FXT90 is an incredible bassy IEM for the price. Ask me if you want to get them, though, since they're a bit harder to get a hold of than the SE215.
