Hey guys, I've been looking at buying some producing headphones in the past months and i am still to come to a decision what to buy, mainly because there are so many on the market and I don't have the knowledge to pick one out of the bunch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. an i am looking to spend about 100 AU dollars.

Thanks, Overwheelcookie

No. If he's producing, Skullcandy or Beats headphones in his price range would make his music sound worse than doing it deaf.

I meant to reply yesterday, but TTG was being dumb and didn't let my post through.

The Sony V6 is probably your best option, since you guys in Australia are kind of shafted in pricing. The V6's are studio standards and they've been used in the studio by basically anybody important. If at all possible, look at an AKG K271, since they're better for producing with their more neutral sound.

Klipsch doesn't make headphones that are good for this purpose. They specialize in colored sound, which is far from ideal for producing.

AKG'S they are the best for producing maybe pricey but way worth it, DO NOT BUY BEATS STUDIOS even if the have the word studios doesnt mean theyre good.

I don't know what genres of music you listen, but I listen to a lot of dubstep and my Sony XB Headphones are great.

The XB3/5/700 wouldn't really work for producing since they're so bassy.

And again, Beats are the worst headphones for producing. iBuds would be better than Beats.
