Coullon wroteCBD wrote There both just different routes of exploitation:wow. thats the best explanation of it yet. you deserve rep or gold or something! so basically if i had a choice betweem falcon RGH amd falcon Jtag it really wouldnt matter?
- The original JTAG Exploit involved modifying the SMC (System Management Controller) to allow Unsigned Code to run. However M$ patched the exploit by blowing the eFuses in a System Update (NXE Update).
- The new RGH (Reset Glitch Hack) Exploit involves modifying how the Bootloaders function by the means of sending a tiny reset pulse to the processor upon Booting. This method of exploitation efficiently alters the Memcmp Function of the Bootloaders to allow Unsigned Code to run. M$ Attempted to patch this by adding a split CB Bootloader, this has been promptly bypassed by Team Xecuter in their new RGH 2.0.
In addition, because the RGH Method is not a software alteration (unlike the JTAG Method) it has the ability to add a second "Retail" Nand via external Chipset (DualBoot).
In my opinion the RGH Method is superior to the JTAG Method because, though it may have a slower BootTime, all xbox Kernels are exploitable (Unlike the JTAG Method where only Xbox's with Pre-NXE Dashboards are exploitable) and the RGH Method also gives the option of a DualNand (One Modified Nand and one Retail Nand (Xbox Live)).
:coffee:
Thanks, and like I said personally I prefer the RGH Method because it allows for use of a DualNand Chipset that will allow you to switch from your modded RGH Nand to a Retail Nand (Retail nand CAN connect to XBL). And because it can be done to any Console regardless of its Kernel.

RGH, or Reset Glitch Hack, is the same as a JTAG. RGH is just the newer method of making the xbox run unassigned code. They are both the same, but I prefer JTAG.
