Hey guys just a few quick questions, im looking at buying the Hauppauge HD PVR gaming edition recorder, just wondered if you guys have any experience with it ?

1.Is it pretty easy to set up ? ive had trouble with other recorders saying cant find the AV signal etc in the past, dont realy want to spend days searching the net for solutions.

2.is it worth the 160 (GBp) im going to pay for it ?

3.Whats the quality like ? ive been told it should give pretty decent HD quality, whats the audio like with quality and sync ?

if you could anwser some of these that would be great, thanks in advance

they are amazing and the real quality depends on the render settings if you render it our of sony vegas you can just look up tutorials on settings or you can render out of showbiz which comes with it.

I have the normal one and i just render it then put it into sony and get amazing quality

to setup all i did was hook it up put in the disk then do step one and two and i was recording

Unless your planing on recording just about every time you play or plan on going into the youtube business don't bother buying it.

Quality of video- Depends on your TV
Quality of audio (Syncing)- Great

Also setting it up is almost basic audio to video knowledge but if you have trouble finding a set up video is super easy.

Took me about 15 minutes to get it completely setup. Yes it is worth the money but the quality does depend on your T.V.
