I'm not that much of a Pc gamer myself but yeah this is really the basis.

You just want to make sure you have a large harddrive and anywhere from 8-16GB of RAM.

A great processor is also key in this equation.

Defienatly don't need a i7 a 2500k should work the same and save 100$, 8gb ram max more is pretty much useless a decent graphics card is gtx 560 ti 448, a gigabyte z77 motherboard, 500gb or 1tb hard drive, either coolermaster haf 912 or corsair 400r for a case, cpu cooler hyper 212 evo and a corsair 600 or 700watt powersupply

*If you're looking for price, get an AMD processor. They have the same power for $100 less than Intels.

*DO YOUR RESEARCH! : Nothing would be worse the ordering all your parts then finding out they don't fit together. make sure, two times, that every thing is compatible.

*Order from newegg.com or tigerdirect.com

*Think about the future! Buy something that will last years. Instead of buying the most expensive thing, try to buy something that will not need upgraded for years.
