You have to update drivers after buying new graphics card or the resolution is messed up

AMD drivers [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Nvidia drivers [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I'm fairly certain that you installed the drivers for the card. However, is this a Monitor or a TV? I read monitor but you should be able to fit that no problem going through HDMI usually a Monitor up to 26" are 1920x1080 and 27" and up are the 2560x1600 or something. If it's a TV and your going through HDMI you might have to go through the menu and stretch or fit the screen maybe. Or check to see if you have multiple HDMI ports, some TV's come with a port that is actually designed for maximum compatibility with computers and have preset fittings.

Did you install the drivers for the video card? Check their website for the newest ones.

1. Check control panel, should look something like this:

2. Make sure you have the latest/correct drivers
3. Reboot machine completely
4. Check TV settings[/img]
