It uses a core 2 duo, wich is kinda old. If your going to edit video, you really should get an i7 if u have the money. Or maybe a quad core version of the one your looking at. I have used core 2 duo and i7 completely demolishes it in adobe flash and AE. like 5 min vs 30 seconds

+1.

Nothing but cheap plastic, ultra thing and brittle keyboard matched up with last generation hardware with a ridiculous price tag.

And I ROFL'd when the first poster said they were good at gaming and editing, like they're good at even one of them ( LOLOLOL OSX Lion).

If you want an everyday rig, buy some really chip pre-made HP i3-2100 rig for like $400 taxes in. You'll see zero difference between that and an Icrap.

EDIT: butthurt Mac user gets told the truth and doesn't like because he know realizes he dropped over a grand on a piece of plastic with outdated hardware and a so vulnerable incompatible O/S.

Show me proof that over 'x' amount of time Windows suddenly happens to get slow. Please, tell me. Also tell me how secure OSX is and how compatible it is with games and other programs.

Well, it depends on what you'd use it for. I have a MacBook Pro (this one [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) and it satisfies my everyday needs for school and home stuff. But if you are looking to play games; don't get a macbook. My mac can handle games, but at an average of like 8FPS (if you don't know that is absolutely horrible) some games it can handle averagely, buy hardly any. But nonetheless, if you are going to use it for stuff such as typing essays up, browsing the internet, and playing low-intensity games (like minecraft) then you should go for a mac. The OS is much cleaner than windows (from what you see anyway) and although they can't run certain things, they are a little more secure than a PC. You can always add a windows partition if you want anyway. Also to the person saying this is a $1,000 plastic machine, it's aluminum

Whether you're on your 4th computer that uses a Windows O/S or not has no use in this topic. They could be dying due to you not taking care of them by putting it on your bed and letting the CPU get to 100c often. I don't understand people who buy Mac's and who actually defend them whether the proof that they're terrible machines is right in front of their eyes. Blind sheep following the herd I tell you.

All I'm going to say is this - if you want to pay MORE for a Apple computer that won't perform not nearly as well as a CHEAPER custom build / Zenbook, and want an operating system that is terrible in so many ways, and don't care about design and functionality ( lol Imac and their 90c cores )...and want to throw money down the drain, by all means buy it. Just a note, when you get and realize you had to pay 3 x more money for relatively the same specifications compared to an alternative option, I hope you don't feel like you got shafted or anything. Plus, if you're really only buying this because it looks cool, shiny, and bright, invest your money into a custom build with a IPS monitor from Dell / LG - Better viewing angles and colors.
