I honestly think they will have all new characters. because on moon if you do the easter egg you blow up the earth... so maybe the original characters will be stranded on the moon.

I think it will be based inside of a Mantion, Samantha's mansion..

My theory is:

The Moon Easter Egg is an option; so, maybe the story caries on from The Moon, but instead of the four characters blowing the Earth up, the jump back on the tele pad and get sent somewhere else. And my guess is, Ancient Roman Zombies.

With the whole Tacitus thing, and the game being released on an "Eclipse", the Moon and Ancient Rome seem connected somehow.

Anyway, that's my theory, could be completely wrong.

I'd prefer them to keep the original characters. It gives a sense of stability in a game that is constantly trying to change.

Plus, you can't get much better than the one-liners that Nikolai and Richtofen spout out.
