Your thoughts... Primarily for gaming but I plan on recording/rendering and who knows I may get into Photoshop and other things like that in the future. $100 Price difference.



EDIT: I Also do not have plans on overclocking it.

i7 3770k and 3570k are both GREAT! cpus. My real question is why don't you just save 200$ and get a i7 2600k. There's no difference besides cache. Speeds/clocks are identical. If I had to pick, 3570k.

My bad I thought you had the i7 extremes up there. Yea I'd get the 3770k because 2mb cache actually is a lot when the ratio is 25%. 3770k. Good luck!

Ah I got it. Thanks for the help I decided to go with i7 and got one of the last two available! Might as well get the best so it'll last longer right?

Tyler, I have one. They are amazing and have yet to fail me. GTA, BF3, MW3, Crysis all @ 60fps. Never a bottleneck.

What graphics card will you have? No need to go extreme if your GPU will be a huge bottleneck.

HA! Were clones I swear.... GTX 680 is a excellent choice as I would know. You better get quick on the 680, they sell QUICK! My 680 is great. I would recommend EVGA and TigerDirect only because they're the only ones usually in stock. But yea 3770k to max out your potentials. (Sigh, I wish I waited for Ivy.)
