Alright thanks, I'm feeling that I should spend a little extra and get WD rather than Seagate based on their warranty and reliability. I also plan on getting an SSD in the future so this may be used as a mass storage device. How is the speeds on this mixed reviews about the Samsung spinpoint being faster. and $50 less.....

The f1's / f3's are good drives but I'd never use them if WD was an option that is available, but that's just me. Plus, you get a 5 year warranty compared to 3. It's up to you. The speeds are going to pretty close and not noticeable whilst doing day to day operations.

Yeah you're probably right, an extra 2-3secs doesn't matter to me anyways. Plus I don't even know the warranty status now that Seagate owns the HDD section. Might be 2 years plus Seagate Service.
