not that good of a build but look at what I made much better graphics and components(totals to 1090$ without a operating system) with this build you can easily run COD and skyrim

You could get a lot better parts for the budget that you have set. A 2500k is a strong CPU, when you OC the 2500k the performance is huge...but a 550 ti is bringing it down. Sure it might run games that don't require a lot of performance, like COD or Valve games, but games like Skyrim and BF3 is just not realistic for a $120 card - BF3 tends to max out vRAM once you up the settings. Also, the heatsinks of the Corsair RAM will have clearance issues with the Hyper 212. I use Mushkin Blackline with my 212 and it's flawless. A build like this would be better.

Or you could build around this and get a cheaper case, MSI g43, a 500gb HDD and burn Windows and you'll have the budget for a 7970 if you want raw gaming performance.

560 ti 448 core is a good card, but a 7970 is better and gives you more bragging rights on the interwebs.
