Right so when i go to record it just comes up with a black screen, and when i'm watching people videos of when there recording with it they have the option to choose PS3/Xbox 360 down the left hand side, but when i do it only says M2TS/TS?


Why won't it let me record? I have the correct wires and setup!

Im almost positive there's a setting for 'preview whilst recording'. You may not be previewing the recording, that might be the problem.

Use the PS3 option if you are on a XBOX. Most people do it.
