Hey, I've never owned a laptop before and I'm thinking about getting one so I'd like opinions. My budget would be around 500-600 GBP as I will be purchasing a desktop some time soon but want a good laptop whilst I get the money. If you can think of a laptop in the budget that would be a better choice then I'd be glad if you show me.
This is the laptop I have looked at because of the good reviews: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
I am just wondering how good this laptop would be for browsing, listening to music, watching videos & films and gaming (COD, BF3, Minecraft, TF2).
Any feedback is appreciated.

Right, I didn't expect to be able to play BF3 with it just put it in the list for the hell of it. If I do want to play graphics intensive games in the future I'd hopefully have the desktop I want for that, the laptop will just be for portability and casual gaming.

I honestly don't think laptops are any good, Unless your going to the 800+ Mark on them. I would recommend a standard midi desktop PC; More for your money. However, IF You really want a laptop, That is a good laptop, You can play some of the latest games on medium/low settings. Even better is to build your own computer, A good site is [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - It's what I use, Good luck!

Why don't you save up for the PC, instead of buying a laptop and then having to earn more?
Im pretty sure any decent laptop would be able to run Minecraft & maybe TF2. Not too sure about BF3&CoD though. You may need to use low settings.
But yeah. Save for the PC ;)
