Alright, so i'll be building this computer in the beginning of June. I'll mostly be playing BF3, DiRT: Showdown, GTA, and anything else. (Basically just switching from xbox to pc) Here's what i'm thinking will be in the build. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Case - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
CPU & CPU Cooler - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Memory / Ram - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Motherboard - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (Different Motherboard from before)
Video Card - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (Different video card from before) (Might get another one of these later this year)
HDD - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Power Supply - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (Not sure if this is enough or too much..)
DVD Drive - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Not sure if i'm missing anything. Tell me what you think below!
Total Cost w/ Shipping = $1333.90 (That's including a Logitech G510 Keyboard & Razer Sphex mousepad)

Not a lot of games actually have benefits from using an i7 ( hyper-threading is the only real difference between them ), and even IF there is, it's very minimal and not noticeable. 8gb's of RAM is plenty and to some may be major overkill - the only reason I suggest getting 8 even if you'd never go over 4, is simply because the price difference is $10 apart. It's better to focus the majority of your money on a GPU without skimping out on the other components, like what the OP did - it's a solid build.

Most of the time the difference is VERY minimal... so it most likely will NOT be worth it outside of a few multi-threaded applicaitons. Please know more before you try to help others. a 10% difference is hardly ever noticeable with most applications. and the 3570K is more than enough when it comes to gaming because even now most games are not built for Quad Core processors except games such as battlefield and GTA. Boot times will remain generally the same and so will typical computer applications. and 8 Gigs of ram is more than enough even for games like BF3 running at ULTRA settings. so upgrading ram would be useless as well.
