I was wondering what kind of performance I could expect from games like bf3, mw3, and diablo 3 and also If a 600w psu would suffice.

gfx - 6770 radeon 1gb GDDR5
cpu - i3 2100 3.1 ghz
psu- 600w?
ram- 4gb ddr2
I also was curious to know if my current mobo can support these parts, it's a dell inspiron 0k068d..

I'm not sure if I will need a new case, I'm using [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] one.. any help will be much appreciated.. Thanks.

Hmm, what would be the weak link in the build?

No, your current MOBO only supports socket 775 chips and the i3-2100 is a socket 1155 chip. You will have to replace the MOBO and the RAM since modern boards besides some AMD boards will only boot with appropriate DDR3. This will max out D3 and play some COD's on medium, but BF3 is way out of the question - I wouldn't recommend anything under a 2500k / GTX 560 ti.

Thanks, do you have a link for the specs for the motherboard? I never could find anything on it and I would like to look at some compatible processors..

For the current MOBO in your computer it will only fit socket 775 CPU's.

If you're looking at getting the i3-2100 which I'd suggest, you could grab a H61 / H67 since you can't overclock it.

Ok, thanks.. I have one more question (I don't know much about computers and you seem to know quite a lot, lol), would this build work in unison?

gfx - 6770 radeon 1gb GDDR5
cpu - i3 2100 3.1 ghz
psu- Cooler Master GX RS-650-ACAA-E3 650w
ram- 4gb ddr2 (compatible with the motherboard?)
mobo - GIGABYTE GA-H61M-DS2 LGA 1155 Intel H61
case - will the stock case I already have fit all of this, to your knowledge? If not any inexpensive recommendations?

Thanks a boat load.

around 25 fps. You need a quite powerful Graphics card for the games you listed.

Okay, excluding bf3.. on mw3 at 1920x1080, how many fps do you think I could get with the proposed build?

As long as the MOBO is M-ATX, yes. Although if you are interested in a new case, a CM 430 or a HAF 912 are good choices.
