All you're basically doing is taking the 720x480 resoultion and upscaling it to a 1280x720+ resolution, which can cause frame ghosting and reducing the anisotropic filtering/anti-aliasing effects.
It's not the same as an HD PVR, but this is good for users trying to get the most out of their SD recorders.

im not all to great with editing but i know this and thought id share it..

good point about this topic is, i bought an easy cap for 500 pennies and i got great quality from these tutorials
compare a pvr to the final result, you will see the difference.
+saved me from buying a pvr - wrong. 59.94fps from the raw recording is pretty crucial if you plan to get in big clans and for people to edit for you.
