Problems with this build

You do realize that the i3 2100 would destroy that cpu and it comes with a integrated graphics card.

A 550w psu for that build? a 430w would already be plenty. Also a good brand would benefit so you don't wonder when this psu will blow.

Green drives are terrible, buy a good hdd with at least 7200rpm.

No RAM sticks? that will be a problem, try gskill ripjaws 4gb ram.

Buy the looks of it the guy does not want to build a computer, if you want [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] can build up a pc for a charge of 50$

I did forget ram thanks.

HDD speed is just fine i play everything on max setting using that HDD.

And brand is not crucial im using a low bran RAM and PSU.

Cheaper and runs just fine you're paying for the name not the piece then.

Ripjaws again paying for the name and the fancy metal on it...

Totally agree with TTG_Code which addressed the problems of the build you recommended him AMD, you have picked components that are pretty shocking. Just to name one is the CPU, why not a i5 2500K ? he might not be gaming but for multi- tasking the CPU would be a huge benefit of performance, the budget is alright which he can get good quality parts even though he might not be gaming. As stated a i3 (low end of the sandy bridge - hence the number 3) would destroy that CPU easy. Bunt, I would recommend asking someone else as ehe parts chosen for you, you would not get a benefit out of those components for a gaming build. BTW I am not hating, I am just helping Bunt out here, also I would recommend AMD that you should do a little bit more research on computer components, just helping with you recommending builds as I don't want to come across as a hater - Just saying.

Tips - for example the psu (power supply unit) use a branded one like corsair because cheap one's are made out of paper (joking like) and can seriously damage other components inside the computer, if you have to spend over $100 for a top brand one - so be it because your playing safe, most of the cheap psu's don't even reach the wattage that they say they are.

I have no top bran equipment in my build it has not "blown up" like you guys say

Intel Yes... It is better but integrated graphics are terrible and everything on an intel is more than a just fine AMD setup... PSU's Will not blow up unless you are a complete idiot. 2500K Thats half of his F*cking budget! Stay on the budget then come talk to me...

Just because you were cheap and did not invest in a half descent PSU and it has not failed yet does not mean it's going to be the same for someone else. You're asking to get shafted in the long run if you cheap out on the heart of the system - want proof? Every single person who owns a pre-built PC from HP for example and wants to put in a descent video card - oh wait, they can't due to a insufficient PSU that has multi 12v rails and isn't even rated. You should be the last person giving out advice, seriously.

...So your telling me off when i have had this computer for 2 years or so and have always used a lower priced PSU that its going to blow up or not give the sufficient power? I gave them a WORKING computer at that budget that if you use top brand stuff you might get half of the performance going with more expensive CPU with integrated graphics. They blow. I have been running a 450W gpu off that exact 550W PSU and its running just fine. Moron you dot want the exact Watts. You'll get under voltage on any PSU if you have exact wattage.
