Dude.. it is TOTALLY worth it!
I played the trial and said I don't know and then I sprung and bought the full game..
Now I am addicted to it.

Yes, it's definitely worth purchasing. It's a simplistic game but it could manage to keep me entertained for months.

If you're into games which involve keeping pets, farming, constructing, mining underground, eating, fighting, swimming, etc - Minecraft is definitely the game for you!

I honestly find Minecraft to be more addictive than any game I would purchase in a store.

It isn't similar at all, you don't have finite resources like you do on minecraft. Blocks couldn't be any-more different, and finally Fortress Craft is more of a creation game whereas minecraft is survival.

If you want a cheap game that's actually similar to minecraft then get Total Miner: Forge.

It's really a hard game to explain. It sounds boring on paper but is actually addicting.

I never liked the game until I bought it, and now I love it. The best part is that you can do almost anything.

Get the trial first, and if you like that get the full game. Take it from me, I was completely new to it also.

Its actually really fun on the PC. I tried it out and im planning to get it for the Xbox 360. Its especially fun when your playing online with friends . Im having the same situation though. I also live in Canada but i dont want to spend $40 on a 2800 card.
